Richard has had vast experience as a documentary cameraman, drama camera operator, cinematographer (two feature films), director of photography (short films and corporates).

In 2009 a 6 part series Stranger Among Bears stormed America, quickly becoming a hugely popular success for Animal Planet U.S.A. Richard's added responsibilities entailed having to film, direct, produce, and appear in the entire series completely on his own. He has narrated the international version of the series. Meanwhile, A Man Among Wolves, a natural history film, shown in the UK and USA to critical acclaim was probably the reason he was sent to Alaska. Links to this film can be found on his website.

In contrast to these extraordinary wildlife experiences, was a documentary film for MBC/ Al-Arabiya, King Abdullah - The Moderate & the Popular, shot in Saudi Arabia about the Saudi Royal family.

Apart from working extensively overseas, he has, during recent years, worked as documentary cameraman in Devon, Cornwall and the West Country, on popular BBC television programmes such as Seaside Parish and Homes Under The Hammer. The easy access to all parts of the West Country has proved useful to producers, enabling them to use a London cameraman, whilst saving on overnights and mileage expenses.

Richard is well located to work in London, Bristol or Exeter. Most of his work is still commissioned by London & Bristol production companies.
